SMSTS Qualification for Jake

A big congratulations to Jake Derry, who has just successfully completed his Site Management Safety Training course with CIBT.

Jake attended a five-day course, completing assessments via case studies, classroom discussion, group work and individual presentations to help him gain an understanding of health, safety, welfare and environmental issues whilst on site. This included the likes of:

  •      The Health and Safety at Work Act

  •      Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations

  •      Risk assessments/method statements

  •      Recent changes in accepted working practices

  •     Behavioural safety

  •      Management of occupational health

With his new qualification Jake will be promoting health and safety and productivity whilst ensuring the current CDM regulations are properly adhered to across our installations.
